ReStore Donations

ReStores accept donations of new and used building materials, appliances and home décor items from home owners, businesses and trades.

Dropping off Donations

Donations can be dropped off at our Burnaby and Vancouver locations during store hours, Monday through Saturday, from 9:00AM and 5:00PM. Please be aware that the ReStores cannot accept all donations and they reserve the right to refuse items upon inspection.  Before dropping your items off, please contact the ReStore to ensure your donation is suitable. All donations must be clean and in good working order.  Items must be inspected during store hours. Dropping material off outside the store is considered dumping and is subject to fines.

You can take any items deemed unsuitable for resale to the nearest Salvation Army

Donation Pickup

The ReStore can pickup corporate donations and large private items such as complete kitchens and major appliances within the Metro Vancouver area. For more information please contact Tom Riessner, Director of ReStore Operations.

Please be aware that the ReStores cannot accept all donations and they reserve the right to refuse items upon inspection. In such cases ReStore staff may be able to direct you to an appropriate recycling facility.

We are unable to accept:

  • Partial cans of paint
  • Used carpet
  • Used toilets or bathtubs
  • Used blinds or draperies
  • Used Fluorescent tubes or fixtures
  • Home furnishings such as beds or furniture
  • Lumber or wood flooring with nails or screws
